TEXAS vs TEXAS A&M – The End of An Era – Friday 6:00pm Austin, TX

Texas Soccer plays its final home game of the season this Friday evening at 6:00pm at Mike Myers Stadium.

This is the last time EVER that Texas Soccer will face Texas A&M at home in Austin in a Big 12 Conference game. It’s the end of an era because almost every game that Texas Soccer has ever played against Texas A&M has been a Big 12 game (with the main exception being the Nov 17, 2007 game when they met in the 2nd round of the NCAAs).

Friday night will be the 25th time the Longhorns and Aggies will play each other in Division I Women’s Soccer. The first game took place seventeen years ago on September 25, 1994 in College Station. The Aggies won that game 2-1 in double overtime. (A&M, by the way, says the first game took place in 1993, but that’s another story.)

• Last year’s attendance for this game in Austin was 2,829. This record has to be smashed!
